In Need of Activities to Promote Self-Love!

I’m a mom to an 11-year-old daughter, and I’m at a loss here. She’s so hard on herself, constantly comparing herself to others, especially the other girls in her dance group. She’s really talented, but she’s always downplaying her skills, saying she’s not good enough. Her negative self-talk is getting worse and it breaks my heart because I can see her spiraling into self-doubt. I don’t know how to help her build confidence or stop this pattern. I just want her to love herself as much as I love her. Any advice? I feel desperate here. :disappointed:

Oh I feel you. It’s so hard watching them struggle like this. Sending hugs your way. :two_hearts:

My daughter went through the same phase, and let me tell you, it took bribing her with ice cream after every practice to make her see how amazing she was! H

I get it. My daughter struggled with the same thing and honestly, it was exhausting trying to be the “positive voice” all the time when she was tearing herself down. It feels like you’re fighting an uphill battle, doesn’t it? Just know you’re not alone in this, and it’s okay to feel lost sometimes.
