Hi everyone! I need your help! My oldest is 9 and I think it might be time to break the news that Santa isn’t real, but I’m honestly lost on how and when to do it. I feel like part of him might already suspect but he’s never asked outright, and I don’t want to completely shatter the magic. Do I just sit him down and tell him or wait until he brings it up? Has anyone else gone through this? I’d appreciate any advice or even just to hear how others have handled this!
Totally with you on this! My daughter’s 8, and it’s a similar struggle for us. I feel like if I wait until she brings it up, we might be getting close to some big realization moment in front of her friends (not what we want), but also, I don’t want to rush it. How do you even figure out if they’re already half suspecting? Or should we let them hang onto it for as long as they can? It’s such a big part of their childhood, but I’d also hate for her to feel like we “lied” when she finds out.
